SHSAT Drills (shsatdrills.com) is a free math-practice site for the SHSAT. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this simple on purpose: we collect very little, and we never sell or share it.
By default you can use SHSAT Drills as a guest — no account, no signup. Your test and drill progress is saved only in your browser (using localStorage) and never sent to us.
If you choose to create an account so your progress syncs across devices, we collect your email addressand use it to send you a one-time "magic link" sign-in email (via Supabase). We don't ask for a name, a password, or any other personal details. Once you're signed in, your test results and drill history are stored so they can sync back to you on any device.
SHSAT Drills is designed for 8th-grade students and is addressed to parents as well as students. We do not run ads or any behavioral tracking, and the only personal information we ever collect is an email address, and only if an account is created. Guest mode requires no personal information at all.
If a student is under 13, a parent or guardian should be the one to create (or consent to) an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental involvement. A parent who believes their child has created an account without appropriate consent can contact us (below) to have the account and its data removed.
You can delete your account and all data associated with it at any time, yourself: sign in, open the account menu, and choose Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your account and every row of data tied to it — there's no waiting on us. If you never created an account, there's nothing to delete on our end: guest progress lives only in your browser, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Account data (email, synced progress) is stored with Supabase, our database provider, and the site itself is hosted on Vercel. Both operate in the United States. Access to account data is protected by row-level security, meaning each signed-in user's data is only ever readable by that user — not by other users, and not by us through the normal application.
If we change how we collect or use data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
You control your account data directly — sign in and choose Delete account to remove everything (see Your rights above).
